“ ever since i was a kid, it was made known to me that being playful is not a weakness. warmth, love, and a creative spirit are necessities in a life that has inevitable hardship.

over the years i noticed that whenever i would try to tune into the memories of those feelings at their purest, it always let me back to one place.

‘grandma’s house’ is a love letter wrapped up in a senior thesis. a love letter to my family (my forever muses), and to music (my first love). after four years of art school, i’ve realized a lot about the creative process (or mine, at least), but two things in particular:

it’s easier when you’re having fun & if you don’t know where to start, do it for someone else.

so as this chapter of my life comes to a close, i thought i’d finish with something fun, something we can all enjoy together <3

i’d love to see you on may 3 at 7 pm for a night of music, community, & probably some yummy food! everything you see will be designed by me as a way to showcase my progress these past four years.

see you at grandma’s house? “

love, shauni
